HEY, I’m katie!

I’m a Trauma Informed Breathwork Coach based in Cambridge (UK) and working worldwide.

I first discovered the power of the breath when I was pregnant with my second baby and came across Hypnobirthing.

I was amazed by (and, to be honest, a bit dubious about) its premise: that by focusing on my breath, particularly the slow exhale, I could actually stay relaxed during labour - famously, not the most relaxing of times.

But amazingly, it worked!

By keeping my attention on my breath and counting my inhales and exhales, I managed to (mostly!) keep it together during the birth of my daughter which felt like a small miracle to me.

That’s the magical thing about your breath, as I discovered first-hand that day: It gives you direct access to your nervous system.

Just by doing something as simple as altering your inhales and exhales, you can radically change how you feel and respond to life (even when life is pushing a 13-inch skull through your nether regions. Amazing isn’t it!)

Of course, Indian and Eastern cultures have been telling us for thousands of years to pay attention to our breath. And it seems we in the West are finally waking up to this secret superpower we all possess because interest in Breathwork as a modality has taken off in recent years.

In 2020, during the first lockdown, I was introduced to a very different style of Breathwork known as Conscious Connected Breathing - a powerful breathing practice that ultimately helped me to release a lot of the physical tension, anxiety and trauma that was coming up for me during that weird ol’ time.

I was so grateful for the positive effects that Conscious Connected Breathing had on both my physical well-being and mental outlook, that I eventually made the decision to train with breathing school Integrative Breath so I could share this incredible practice with others!

And here I am, doing just that.

As my interest in the physiology and science of breathwork deepened, I went on to qualify as an Oxygen Advantage facilitator and I now help people from all sorts of backgrounds learn how to harness their breath, to better manage their health and fitness, and reach their potential.

It’s a privilege to offer Breathwork now as an accredited facilitator and to witness the powerful transformations in the people who breathe with me. Breathers often experience a deep sense of release during a Breathwork session and leave looking and feeling lighter and brighter.

First-timer breathers are inevitably hooked - just like I was! Getting high on your own supply is much more than a catchy slogan, as it turns out ;)

Your breath is the key to unlocking all of that, and so much more. And the truly empowering thing about it is: your breath is always with you.

Wherever you are, however you are, you have it within you right now to completely shift how you feel.

It all starts with your next breath…

There is one way of breathing that is shameful and constricted. Then there’s another way; a breath of love that takes you all the way to infinity.
