Breathing is the first thing we do and it is the last. It is also the first thing to become dysregulated as we go through life.

When we encounter people and events that hurt us, we automatically restrict our breath.

This results in unconscious breathing patterns, like shallow breathing or breath holding, that contain our painful feelings but ultimately distort our experience of the world, and keep us feeling small.

The flip side of that is … we can change how we feel and show up for life, simply by changing how we breathe.

I’m a fully qualified Breathwork facilitator and life coach based in Cambridge (UK).

I know it did to me!

I mean, we all instinctively breathe… don’t we?

But since discovering Breathwork a few years ago, I truly believe that harnessing the power of the breath is the simplest and most effective way to release your baggage, activate your potential, and, ultimately, transform your entire existence…

– yep, it’s a bold claim, I know!

But I’m hoping you’ll allow me to show you it’s… 100% true!

Through working with my own breath, I’ve welcomed a whole level of emotional clarity and physical health that I just didn’t think was possible for me a few years ago.

What is conscious connected breathwork?

We often carry tension and unresolved emotions, within our bodies, that constrict the full expression and natural flow of our breath.

These areas of tightness and restriction have a negative impact on our overall well-being; heightening feelings such as stress, anxiety, fatigue, and overwhelm.

Conscious Connected Breathwork is an embodied somatic practice that is designed to gently activate the nervous system to allow for the deep release and integration of these suppressed energies and traumas, which are the root cause of most of our feelings of uneasiness and tension.

Through the power of our breath, we can access, release, and, ultimately, integrate these stored experiences. By accepting and untangling these constrictions, our natural vitality becomes available to us once again.

We start to feel lighter, brighter, more expansive, hopeful, and connected with ourselves.

Because when we expand our breath, we expand our capacity for joy.

This form of Breathwork is designed to remove us from our thinking mind (where we spend far too much time!) and, instead, connect us to our subconscious which is where all our deeply-suppressed energies are stored. This is what Eckhart Tolle calls the ‘Pain Body’.

In other words, we breathe to get out of our own way: so we can actually feel our feelings, rather than thinking about our feelings (which is the secret sauce for anyone on the healing path)!
